UBILITE hires Gopi Sirineni as its Strategic Advisor
June 08, 2020, San Diego, U.S. – UBILITE today announced that Gopi Sirineni, CEO of Axiado Corp and former Vice President at Qualcomm, joined the company as strategic advisor, focusing on strategic direction and advancing partnerships. A Silicon Valley veteran with over 25 years of experience in the semiconductor, software, and systems industries, Sirineni was the creator of Wi-Fi Mesh Technology.

“We are exploring multiple partnerships and critical product roadmap strategies. This requires input from different sources of expertise in the Wi-Fi and Semiconductor space,” said Ismail Lakkis, CEO and Founder of UBILITE Inc. “Gopi’s wide expertise in the Wi-Fi industry will help us build our product strategically and position us as the leader in solution providers of ultra low power Wi-Fi.”

While at Qualcomm, Gopi was responsible for managing the Wired/Wireless Infrastructure business unit. He successfully drove the market to adopt distributed mesh Wi-Fi and pushed the Wi-Fi Self-Organizing Network (SON), a network Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning solutions. In addition to defining the right chips and ensuring timely delivery, Gopi was also crucial in increasing awareness of this new technology, educating customers and consumers through public speaking campaigns and working with media. “I’ve always been an advocate of Low Power Wi-Fi to enable game-changing and everyday essential applications for consumer and industrial segments,” said Gopi Sirineni. “I’m excited to be a part of UBILITE’s team effort in bringing the best Ultra Low Power Wi-Fi solution to the market.”

Prior to Qualcomm, Gopi held executive marketing and engineering leadership roles at Ubicom, Appliedmicro, Cavium, Marvell and IDT, where he built up expertise in core networking, embedded CPU, and Wi-Fi. He was also CEO and founder of Cloudgrapes, a cloud transcoding company. Gopi has chaired IEEE Project Authorization Requests (PARs) and contributed to both Ethernet and Wi-Fi standards. Presently he also serves as a member of the Board of Directors for Codelucida Inc, and advisory roles at Cognitive systems Inc and Aprecomm Inc.


Founded in 2014, UBILITE is a fabless semiconductor company developing Ultra Low Power Wi-Fi Chipset for the IoT applications. UBILITE developed the lowest power 802.11 Wi-Fi SoC on the market with power consumption that is lower than of Bluetooth. The Ultra Low Power requirements enable very long battery life or the ability to use energy harvesting.
